Final GDT Post for de Stempelwinkel

This is my final May GDT post for de Stempelwinkel, for more details see the design team blog

I made a wall hanger, using a lot of stamps,i didn't count them but just look and see.

This was so much fun to make, trying to get as much stamps as possible in and still make a landscape that looks ok.

Anyway I hope you like it even though it turned out a bit bloody

SNS DT throwdown challenge Tooth and Claw

Yay we are in again in this month SNS DT Throwdown  challenge,  the theme tooth and claw, has been chosen by the winner of the last challenge:

Quoth the Raven challenge blog, yay well done and big congrats to you.

For this challenge the Airless Chambers team is : HelenMiranda and me (Monique), we had to do a bit of thinking for this one, but we all came up with something, Rick provided us with the images needed and we were ready to go.

On Airless chambers you can see some pics of our projects and if you want to see more please visit the Blogs of my fellow teamies.

here is my project, which turned out a lot bigger and much more work than I had planned,  it's an Alice in Wonderland themed  curiousity cabinet,  with a bite (LOL)

let's start with some pics and then i will tell you how i made it.

this is the outside

and here is the bloody inside

I started out with two of these (plain wooden tea boxes)

I changed the size of the inside boxes cause  I didn't want them all to be the same size, and then painted and aged it using this

when the  painting was done i added the hinges (TH die) and the lock plate (7 gypsies) the doorknobs are made of buttons, there are 5 buttons ( 1 jeans button and the others are normal buttons) on each doorknob is a rhinestone that way the holes of the buttons aren't visible

then i had to create an Alice scene in the inside of both doors

for door 1 I asked Rick if he could draw me an alice with a butcher knife in one hand and the mad hatters head in the other hand.  He did wonder how this was going to fit the theme but faster then the speed of light I got the image I asked for. The doodles in the background are drawn by me, if you like them, you can get yours here  :-)

door 2, has the cheshire monster cat and the zombie rabbit and a head that belonged to another RSD image (it was allready chopped of a body, I didn't do that lol) and there is also the cheshire tree (TH Die), and a drink me bottle (with lizzard).

then i had to fill all the little boxes inside

first there are the eat me shrooms, cute hey?

then the twinkle twinkle little bat (sorry for the bat pic LOL)

some chess pieces

a blood white rabbit (and they eat heads, not carrots LOL)

the cards, that painted the roses red (poor things they lost their heads, o well more bunny food)

and i can't help wondering is it paint or is it blood??  I guess we'll never know,it's  hard to speak without your head

some keys and the King and the Queen of Hearts, O,  and  also some teeth ...

A tea party , without the hatter I'm afraid, poor guy lost his head (and you all thought Alice was such a sweet little girl, you were wrong ....)

(btw i added the card symbols to a the tiny tea set using permanent markers, it's a bit hard to draw on the round surface, but it worked

In the last little boxes , the pocket watch and a tart, what's a tea party without a tart?

and in the last 2  boxes, the pig and the rest of the cards

Hope you liked  my little curiousity cabinet and please don;t forget to vote here

O and some news (in case you missed the linkie above the alice pic), the doodle thingies I made as a background for Alice and some others are available as digital stamp  they can be purchased on the shop page  on my blog. There are only a few there now but i am working on more :-),

15 days of half o ween Gamespinner

This was kind of a strange project, cause I had promised Leigh from Domino art to do a third piece for the halfoween challenge on Domino art blog, but I really didn't have enough time to make another projec cause I was busy working in the Smeared Ink Design Team project which was turning out much bigger and much more work than originally planned.

What happened was that I told Rick about the third piece and that i had no idea how to get in done in time, and he had a brilliant idea.

Why not make a game spinner, cause it's a rather simple thing to make and within the hour I got a photoshopped image of a card that I had made for the 31 days of halloween and sent to Rick by snail mail

So It was my card which i coloured and stamped and then Rick scanned it and  added some Photoshop tricks and the yellow circle with the words, and emailed  the photoshopped image back to me, I printed it and made the gsmespinner.

the vampire is a RSD image, no longer in the shop but you will find a lot of other scaryness there

Fun huh?? to be making a project together in cyberspace  LOL

hope you like

15 days of Half o ween

This is a piece for the 15 days of Half o ween, see the Domino Art blog for more info.

I have altered a giant chess piece (Tower), I  had this lying around for ages to "do something with it sometime", and it's perfect for the 15 days of half o ween, because we have to use game pieces.

I added all kinds of stuff, if you look close you will find all kinds of gamepieces
on it. There are dominos (1 altered with a Rick St. Dennis digi) and scrable tiles, tarot cards and a bingo number.

I blinged the chess piece up  a bit by using rhinestones and glitter tape, the Count draco digi is a Rick St. Dennis image and the Raven is also a RSD image. The vampires are not available anymore but there are a lot
of other creepy images in the Crypt part of the Etsy.
The roses are made usingTim Holz and Marianne Design dies,  the tombstones is a TH die, and  the  pumpkins and the skellie are plastic.

Smeared and Smudged monthly blog hop "Anything Goes"

It't time again for Smeared and  Smudged monthly bloghop, theme is easy "anything goes"

I decided to make a tag and I got Tottingham Court Ghost to play with, I also used a lot of other stamps (mostly clear stamps) to create a background.

Everything is coloured using pencils and to give the tag a vintage feel, i used weathered wood and walnut stain distress ink and used the blending tool to rub the ink over the entire tag, then I spayed some water over the ink.

And I have another new Rick St Dennis MFA image to show you, she is called Moon Godess, and she is  coloured in Greys (no not 50 shades, I used 3 and a light blue lol). When she
was all coloured and attached to the card I added holographic embossing powder on the moon the stars and  on the dress where the sparkle and glitter was drawn.

Although colouring this lovely lady was fun, I am always a bit intimidated by these gorgeous ladies, always a bit afraid I can't colour these ladies very well,  and the grey was also challenging, but I like the result a lot,it turned out a lot better than I was hoping for. (I just need lots of practice LOL)
see pics below

haunted design house challenge 166

Another make for Haunted Design House challenge 166, Stephen Kings Knightmare.

For this card I chose the book Salem's Lot, another one of my fav's, the card is more funny than scarry but hey,  hope you like it anyway. I do anyway.

The image used is a Rick St. Dennis digi and I can't find it in the shop yet, don't know when it will be in there.

here it is:

The shining

I made this tag for haunted desigh house challenge #166 Stephen Kings Knghtmare.

I love almost all Stephen Kings books, but there are a few that I love the most. The Shining is one of them.

I used a Rick St. Dennis creepster image, the girl had bunny ears in her hair  and an easter basket in her hand, but she is not in the shop.  Anyway i printed her twice, once mirrored once normal and coloured them both. Cut of the bunnie ears and basket. I think these two are the perfect scary dead girls Danny sees in the hotel. I made the backgound bloodsplattered using red Dyllusions and a blood splatter rubber stamp. The REDRUM is giltter glue.

Enjoy

GDT de Stempelwinkel; special card shape

Another post for the Stempelwinkel, this time a special card shape. I made the card using a Tim Holz die and stamped the Goddess of Nature stamp( from Stempelwinkel of course)  using black Archival Ink, I coloured the background using distress ink and the image it self was coloured using pencils. I added some paper roses et voila:

All info about the stamps and material used on the design team blog of the stempelwinkel, you will find new inspiration there every day

i will enter this card in the following challenges
